Joy Ike hasn’t been writing since she could hold a pen, and her life as a musician is only three years young. The Pittsburgh-grown, Nigerian musician has a style that is very confused about itself. Her sound is a mix of neo-soul, jazz, pop, and indie and has often been compared to artists such as, Sarah McLachlan, Norah Jones, Fiona Apple, as well as newcomers Corinne Bailey Rae and Amy Winehouse.
