Millions of educated, professional women temporarily leave their jobs to stay home and raise their children despite the hard work put into earning a degree and climbing the corporate ladder. So wouldn’t quitting, even for a few years, kill a career? That is what attorney Monica Samuels thought when she found out she was pregnant and decided to leave her job in the Bush Administration, but she couldn’t have been more wrong. She and fellow mom, J.C. Conklin, developed www.MomsNextMove.com, launching March 2008. The website aims to educate women across the country in successfully leaving and then returning to the workforce. This networking site will include a newsletter, blog, forums where women can share their ideas and experiences, and product reviews.
